Madrid, April 23, 2025. Soltec, a company specializing in photovoltaic energy solutions, will supply innovative solar trackers to a photovoltaic plant in Brazil that will prevent more than 89,000 tons of CO2 emissions. The project, known as Mundo Novo, is led by Polimix Energia, the energy division of Polimix, one of the largest concrete companies in the country. The plant, located in São Miguel do Gostoso, in the municipality of Rio Grande do Norte, will have a total installed capacity of 41 MW, enough to supply clean energy to more than 10,000 households in northeastern Brazil.
Mundo Novo project is part of Polimix’s strategy to drive its transition to clean energy. To achieve this, it has trusted Soltec’s solar trackers, which have played a key role as a strategic supplier in the project’s development. This initiative consolidates Soltec’s position as a national and international benchmark in the renewable energy sector.
Innovation
This will be the first project to feature the innovative SFOneX Dual-Row, the bifacial and longer version of the SFOne tracker developed by Soltec. Thanks to its design, which reduces the number of piles and electromechanical components, it enables faster and more efficient installation.
“By signing this project, we reaffirm Soltec’s commitment to providing photovoltaic energy solutions. The company is currently at a key stage, and the completion of initiatives like this one demonstrates its operational continuity and future outlook,” said Mariano Berges, CEO of Soltec.
With this new milestone in Brazil, one of its key markets, Soltec strengthens its presence in the country, where it has been operating since 2015. With a cumulative history of 5.5 GW in various projects across the country, the company reaffirms its commitment to the development of sustainable projects that drive the global energy transition.
