Soltec remains market leader in photovoltaic tracking in Brazil

Soltec, a leading photovoltaic tracking company, is supplying its complete solar tracker equipment to the Paracatu solar plant, located in the state of Minas Gerais, in southeastern Brazil.

"Paracatu offers ideal conditions for high performance solar tracking systems. The robustness and reliability of the SF Utility single-axis solar tracker allows its application in extreme environmental conditions, including high winds. This makes it the ideal solution to reduce operational risks," said José María Lozano, Global Director of Engineering at Soltec. "Our solar trackers offer better land use, reduced labour during installation and the highest performance on the market. All of these combine to deliver success for our customers.

More than 5,400 solar trackers will be installed at this photovoltaic plant located some 250 kilometres from the country's capital, Brasilia. The project developer is Solairedirect-ENGIE, which has already worked with Soltec in the past.

"We are very honoured to be chosen again by Solairedirect-ENGIE," said Raul Morales, CEO of Soltec. "Our customers value Soltec's successful experience in large-scale projects in Brazil. We have our growing team of 500 people to thank for this, who strive for innovation and the success of our customers".
