The Spanish manufacturer is the market leader in Brazil with 39% of the market share.
Soltec, a leading manufacturer of single-axis solar trackers for large-scale projects, supplied 8 percent of the world's total tracker shipments during 2017. According to the annual GTM Research report, Soltec supplied 1,097 MW of its solar power plant equipment.

The company also ranks third in the world in terms of cumulative supply among active manufacturers. In addition to the third place worldwide, these data place Soltec as the European number one in its sector, according to the GTM Research ranking.

Soltec has exceeded the expected growth for 2017 and is preparing for the increase in demand in the global PV market for the period 2018-2020, which is expected to reach 69 GW. With offices, staff and experience in the most promising markets, Soltec plans to continue to grow as its customers grow with large-scale solar projects.

"In Brazil, which has become our main market, we have just closed the supply contract for our seventh plant in the country," said Carlos G. Mena, director of Soltec's Brazilian subsidiary. "Having reached 990 MW in Brazil, Soltec is proving to be a reliable partner for large PV projects.

"We can't do anything but thank our customers, both those we have won in 2017 and those who have counted on us before, for trusting our trackers to maximise the profitability of their projects," said Raul Morales, CEO of Soltec. "Our success comes from our 14-year history in the solar industry and our incredible team of more than 750 people dedicated to innovation, customer success and producing the most advanced solar tracker on the market."
