Soltec, leading company specialized in integrated photovoltaic solar energy solutions, received from AENOR Criminal and Tax Compliance management system certificates in proof of compliance with standards UNE 19601 and UNE 19602, respectively. These certificates confirm the company’s commitment to tax transparency and crime prevention.
The criminal compliance certificate, complaint with standard UNE 19601, certifies organizational management safety and trust before public administrations, clients, workers and families, amongst other stakeholders. It also confirms correct implementation by Soltec of crime prevention and detection measures, risk reduction and ethical business culture promotion amongst all company personnel.
As for standard UNE 19602, issued in February 2019, it establishes a set of requirements for companies which voluntarily wish to implement a tax compliance system reinforcing good fiscal practices. One of these requirements is the identification and evaluation of potential tax risks and financial controls to minimize them, the definition of due diligence processes for contractors and personnel most exposed within the organization, as well as the implementation of a speak-up channel and hotline.
This certificate, aligned to Spain’s UNE standard and to OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) recommendations, aims to establish and supervise fiscal policies and strategies, basis tax management guidelines and decisions on strategic topics, as well as the design of Soltec’s fiscal control and management system.
According to Ángel Luis Sánchez Cerón, AENOR’s Director for the Mediterranean Region, “obtaining these certificates is a new step taken by Soltec to consolidate its good corporate governance and reinforce an organizational culture based on transparency and cooperation with public administrations and crime prevention.”
Silvia Díaz de Laspra, Soltec’s Chief Legal Counsel, pointed out that: “We are very happy with the awarding of this certificate, as it confirms Soltec’s good work and efforts to ensure and promote transparency and exemplary behavior of all our professionals and collaborators. We will further implement measures and tools that consolidate our position as a role model of good corporate governance.”
AENOR, Spain’s leading certification body, identifies and supports the correction of competitiveness gaps in companies, industries and business networks, contributing to transform society and fostering trust in organizations and people.
As a global organization, it operates in activities relating to certification, verification, validation, inspection, analysis, training and information services in 90 countries. There are currently over 75,000 work centers with a certificate issued by AENOR in areas such as Quality Management, Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety, Digitalization, Animal Wellbeing, Verification of Non-Financial Information or Compliance.
