Raúl Morales is the founder and CEO of Soltec. In over a decade, he has raised Soltec to the top tier as manufacturer and supplier of cost-effective single-axis solar trackers. With deep experience in the solar PV industry, Morales combines his passion for renewable energy with a commitment to boost operational productivity through inspiring a culture of innovation and attracting qualified talent.
Sergio López has more than 22 years of experience in engineering. From his previous construction background to the solar energy field, he has worked his way through every engineering department in the company, gaining the experience and confidence to be promoted as Global Engineering Director. His understanding of the company in its full dimension led him to become Soltec’s COO in 2017.
Paula Lax joined Soltec in 2015 as a Marketing Head, from a UK-based company. Before worked as a Journalist in a digital newspaper and radio and in marketing agencies. Created and lead marketing teams and strategies in innovative fast-growing company and markets worldwide. Has a BSc in Political Science, Journalism and Advertisement and Public Relationships and a master’s degree in Communication and Society and in and an Executive Program in Online Marketing.
Eduardo de San Nicolás has 14 years of international experience in the solar industry as a sales engineer, project manager and project engineer. As Sales Coordinator and Product Director, Eduardo designed and structured Soltec’sservices, incorporated the CRM system, improved the quotation scheme, and managed a team of 38 sale people around the globe. He holds a BSc Industrial Engineering from the European University of Madrid.
José Núñez has over 19 years of experience directing the finances of engineering, large-scale construction, energy and water companies worldwide. Outstanding knowledge of the infrastructure business and its financing instruments. International education: BSc Hons Management Accounting & Finance from the University of Manchester and a joint PMD degree from Georgetown, ESADE & Loyola.
Silvia Díaz de Laspra started her career in a German-Spanish law firm, where she specialized in international private law. She joined Soltec in 2015, and in the same year she was relocated to the offices of the company in California where she focuses on international engineering contracts. Graduated in Law and Business Administration, Díaz also holds a Master’s Degree in International Trade Law.
Fernando Sánchez joined Soltec in 2008 as a business developer for European countries, where he took part of several projects for the company mainly in Italy and Spain. In 2013, he moved to Chile as Country Manager and in 2016 he was promoted to VP of Sales LATAM. He won some of Soltec’s most important projects in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico.
Héctor Sánchez is an Industrial Engineer with more than 8 years of experience at Soltec, when he started as a Sales Engineer in Spain. He later moved to Brazil assuming the position of Sales Director in the Brazilian market, positioning Soltec as the main manufacturer of solar trackers in the country in just over 4 years, with more than 50% market share and 3GWp of projects . In 2020 he was promoted to Vice President of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Colin Caufield has developed business and relationships with a rapidly expanding list of contacts since he joined Soltec in 2015. He is driven by his passion for renewable energy and people, and is finding success with the Soltec offer and the positive state of the utility-scale PV tracker market in the USA with the ITC extension in place. In 2017, Caufield was promoted to VP of Sales North America.
Soltec is committed to finding and training talent. Soltec created Solteach, an innovative solar energy training designed to enlist the best and brightest engineering graduates to our global operation. Solteach has incorporated 20 amazing new-hires out of 500 candidates.
